Course Description

This course offers an introduction to the fundamental principles of cybersecurity. Students will learn about the importance of protecting personal and corporate information, common online threats, and best practices for maintaining security in the digital environment. Additionally, real cases of cyberattacks and how they can be mitigated will be discussed. Class Duration: The course is designed to be delivered over 8 weeks, with a 1.5-hour class each week. Each session will focus on a specific aspect of cybersecurity, allowing students to delve into the details and contexts of each one. Course Structure: Week 1: Introduction to Cybersecurity Week 2: Common Threats and Vulnerabilities Week 3: Data Protection and Privacy Week 4: Security Tools and Techniques Week 5: Incident Detection and Response Week 6: Network and System Security Week 7: Cybersecurity in the Corporate Environment Week 8: Real Cases and Mitigation Strategies Each class will include a combination of readings, case study analysis, group discussions, and practical activities such as configuring security measures on systems and networks. Additionally, simulation exercises of cyberattacks will be conducted so that students can apply the knowledge acquired in a controlled environment.
